The 4th International Conference of Islamic Epistemology is held by Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia in partnership with Research Synergy Foundation, co-hosted by Universitas Islam As-Syafi’iyah, International Institute of Islamic Thought, and Universitas Islam Indonesia virtually on 7-8 August 2023. Hundred of scholars coming from 20 countries had involved in the active scientific forum discussion. Since there were many questions and feedback from the audience to the Invited Speaker, we will continue the discussion in this forum. The Invited Speaker is Dr. Yusdani, M.Ag as the Senior researcher at PHIPD JSI Faculty of Islamic Studies Universitas Islam Indonesia. He talks about "The Basic Framework of Indonesian Islamic Studies Epistemology".
There were several questions that are coming from the attendees.
Q1.) Samina Ashraf --> Respected Sir, in your view, how can the broader international community learn from Islamic principles and practices to improve global sustainable development efforts?
Q2.) Hadia Javaid --> Sir, if you could please deliberate on the culture and religion interface. How relevant is it to observe cultural norms. Particularly if the norms are oppressive.
Also, the exercise of choice by women in this interface.
Q3.) Samina Ashraf --> Next thing is in mind is that How can the insights gained from the Indonesian Islamic Studies Epistemology contribute to promoting intercultural understanding and cooperation among diverse Muslim communities globally??
Q4.) Mamdukh Budiman UNIMUS --> Sir...that Indonesia has various tribes and cultures as well as traditions and religions that are very heterogeneous, how to ground the epistemology of the values of Islamic law to local culture and traditions that are already firmly rooted?
Q5.) Hadia Javaid --> Sir please share some insights on 'cultural Islam'.
Q6.) Nasima Ebrahimi --> As you know most of the people in some countries like my country "Afghanistan" have used incorrect way of using Holy Quran that is opposite. In that kind of situation that most of people are incorrect what should we do????
Q7.) Nasima Ebrahimi --> Now they ban all things from primary education till doing job. Some of the family like me don't have any Brothers to support
