The 4th International Conference of Islamic Epistemology is held by Universitas Al-Azhar Indonesia in partnership with Research Synergy Foundation, co-hosted by Universitas Islam As-Syafi’iyah, International Institute of Islamic Thought, and Universitas Islam Indonesia virtually on 7-8 August 2023. Hundred of scholars coming from 20 countries had involved in the active scientific forum discussion. Since there were many questions and feedback from the audience to the Invited Speaker, we will continue the discussion in this forum. The first Invited Speaker is Prof. Asep Saepudin Jahar, M.A., Ph.D. as the Rector of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta. He talks about "Maqashid Syariah as Fundamental Principles in Islamic Thought and Its Relevance in Islamic Thought and Its Relevance In Islamic Civilization".

Q3.) Dr. Muhammad Sarwar --> Dear Prof.how can we present these MAQASID AL-SHARIAH before non Muslims that they can also understand the Islamicfoundations and become the supporters for that?
Q4.) Praveen Chaudhary --> Hi Prof. Asep, How would you suggest the incumbency of islamic epistemological values in the works of scholars especially in relation to the non-muslim scholars like myself? And yes would you please recommend any fundamental material(books or article) to understand better the basics in details. I am working on islamic finance theme and I see linkage with the fundamental islamic values would be a thorough acknowledgment to the topic.
Q5.) Heru Hermawan --> Dear Prof Asep Saepudin Jahar, Given the rapid development of technology in the modern era and the fact that almost every activity is supported by technology, how can the principle of maqashid sharia, which is for the benefit of many people, keep pace with this technological growth so that any technology is in accordance with Islamic law? what is the concrete evidence that Islam University is doing?
Q6.) Hadia Avaid --> Sir, if you could deliberate on the culture and Islamic interface. How relevant is it to follow cultural traditions in Islamic perspective. And particularly when cultural norms are oppressive.
